I downloaded this demo a few days ago, and beat it. It was extremely short, but it did give me a good idea of how the game was. If you’re a fan of the classic Sonic you’ll probably be disappointed as this is yet another 3D Sonic game. One of the cool things about this game is supposed to be the Werewolf looking Sonic but the demo of course does not let you try this out. Instead you get a taste for how the game works and some of the enemies. This game is very fast paced and yes the rings are still used as your life source. It does seem like a fun game but at the same time it just doesn’t feel right to a classic Sonic fan like myself.

As far as the difficulty goes, while it appears to be very easy in the beginning it does get a bit harder. At times you have to be alert as enemies come out of unexpected areas. For instance you might be speeding down and out of nowhere some spikes will appear. So you have to be ready to dodge them. Another thing is that button combos are sometimes required for some special tricks. Overall, the demo is too short to judge the full game by but it might be worth getting once the price drops or even right now if you can afford it and like the previous 3D Sonic game, if you didn’t remember that you can buy the classic one over at the Xbox Live Arcade.
