Community Games are starting to pick up
The top 10 Community Games purchased for the week of March 9 according to MajorNelson.com: RC-AirSim, Aquarium HD, DrumKit, ZP2K9, Bowling X, Rumble Massage, Miner Dig Deep, TV Calibration, Remote Masseuse, Tanks V.S
Out of those games, I’d like to talk about ZP2K9 which I purchased recently. It’s a VERY good game for only costing 200 points and while playing it I had a brief discussion with another random player about it and he seemed to agree that it was worth the money. With this current economic situation, every cent counts and in this case, it’s every point. I was a bit skeptical about purchasing it as while it was only 200 points, I could have used it towards another game since there’s quite a selection. However, after looking around for other multiplayer games in the Community Games section, at such a price range, this game seemed to be the best option and apparently it was. I had loads of fun playing it and was actually playing it a few hours ago with a friend of mine. While the graphics aren’t amazing, the gameplay sure is considering the file size and price. I’m glad to see such a game in the Community Games section as it shows the potential that this section could have. Another thing I feel is worth talking about is that these games are starting to get noticed more which is good for both developers and consumers in the long run as some developers might have been holding back since they thought it would not be worth getting involved but as soon as more developers start to gain some success with it, it’s only a matter of time until we see even more awesome developers working on good games. One year from now, I have a feeling we’ll see some REALLY impressive titles..until then, enjoy the current selection.
